Despite Sett's winrate, banrate and pickrate, I still think he is one of the most balanced champions released/reworked in recent memory. BY FAR. The only tuning I would honestly do to him would be one of two things to his W. Either increase the CD so he isn't popping off multiple massive Grit shields per teamfight with nuke levels of true damage, or lower the shield amount that he gets. Maybe adjust his passive healing as well. Sett isn't mobile. He is a Juggernaut/Bruiser and thus SHOULD hit like a truck if he gets within range of you and lands his combo. He is on Garen levels of kiteability due to only having a minor MS buff. He doesn't feel terrible to play against and on the flipside he is very fun to play.

All in all, I think he just needs very minor tweaks to bring him into line but mostly a very balanced champion.

Honestly. Sett abilities are pretty balanced. The ult could take a bit of a nerf and the W Grit % Damage could be reduced, but really thats about it for abilities.

Really the just need to take a hammer to his base stats.

Base armor down to 30 from 37 Base HP Regen down to 3 - 20 from 9.25-22 (He has a fucking garen passive for god sakes. he doesn't need 3x Aatrox's HP regen at level 1) Base AD down to 115 at level 18 from 125 Base HP down to 570 from 600.

I agree. He's a lot tamer than some of the other releases like: Zoe, Neeko, Pyke, Qiyana, Aphelios, Senna, ... forgetting a few others but you catch my drift.

Pick a melee champ into Sett and you will understand how much fun he is to play against. Dude pretty much auto-wins against anything that gets close to him. Invalidating nearly every melee champ in the game isn't really "balanced".

But I agree... the ways you suggest to fix him all sound right. Tone down the shield, tone down his regen so poking him is actually viable (You can go oom poking Sett and have him laugh it off) and but down on the true damage from his stupid shield-nuke-punch that's strong enough to be an ult but somehow is on a like 4 second cooldown... and he'd be better. Dude needs a large reduction in either raw numbers or in utility. He shouldn't have both.

His kit is a lot better than most recent releases, his w numbers are just far too high and riot didn't distribute enough power to other parts of his kit.
