i really love playing her but i feel like im just being out dueled all the damn time.

she is a META pick in competetive, so she definitely isn't weak.

just watch some guides and know what you can and what you can't do. landing your cocoon and knowing your damage is very important with Elise.

also, you shouldn't try to duel your enemies when they have 100% health. try to catch low hp enemies because your combo can easily delete like 70% of a squishy enemies HP in less than 1 second. or use your combo to gank, also here, landing your cocoon is very important for an easy kill.

and try to use your spider form E to avoid Damage or close in on your target.

I've been thinking that Elise might go up in viability since the new mastery would give her a hefty shield while her dmg remains somewhat high.

One of her main keystones was removed and she can't make use of CoC that much because she only has one cc.

She also is left behind in levels because she is primarily a single target clearer (aside from human W) and hates the chicken/krugs changes.
