I don't think there is a game that exists where new players are as shafted as they are in League
Maybe that explains why so few actual new players exist and it's just XP bots farming accounts to sell to smurfs. If you actually took the time to make an account and try the "new player experience" Riot has allowed to fester you'd see how terrible it is:
- At least 2 Experience Bots every game no matter the mode, usually takes these things 10 minutes to buy a starting item after inting at the bare minimum 5 times.
- No customization options at all, you're completely forced into what Riot has dictated until you reach level 15, which is a good hundred or so games of repetitive unrewarding gameplay, unless you fork over money for Experience boosts or magically win every single game you play thus preserving your entire XP gain instead of cutting it completely in half.
- Horrible matchmaking, often placing fresh level 3s with no PVP experience up against multiple full-blown level 10s or higher with better Summoner Spells and Runes often making the game a miserable stomp where no learning is possible.
- Fixed, pitiful rewards from level 1-30. The amount of times Riot cheats you out of their "810 BE per capsule" load of bull is disgusting for early level players, there are many times where you will get shafted with a fixed
or
shard with nothing else which wont even convert into anything higher that 500.
No other game in existence spits on its new players as hard as League does, and it's sad when that makes you realize just how few people actually want to join the game. It's just smurfs making a fresh account to fuck around on or some asswipe sending an XP farmer to make a buck selling the account later.
