Can we get rid of bans?

Obviously, there is no intention to increase the numbers of bans irregardless of how many champions continue to be added to the game. So why have bans at all at this point? You cant reasonably ban all problem champions at this point, so why allow any to be banned? I dont expect this would be the greatest idea in competitive, because champion diversity would be even worse than it is now, BUT, competitive is a completely different game anyways, so leave them with their 6 bans, so we can see a new champion played every now and then in the lcs.
