Mordekaiser Changes

As a Mordekaiser main, I look upon these upcoming changes with a mixture of excitement and fear. I fear that the champion I know and love will be greatly different, but at the same time, this is what excites me. Personally, upon looking at the changes that were placed on the PBE (via News of Legends) I believe that the changes to morde are actually very interesting and healthy. Overall I believe the changes will be an overall buff to the champion and I look forward to playing morde, be it solo lane, jungle, or bot lane (who knows really). So, Riot, I beg of you, please continue with these changes and do not be swayed by dissenting opinions. I have faith in your abilities to make mordekasier a more interesting, viable, and fun champion to play as and against. I am aware that if you find morde to be too weak or too strong, you will make appropriate changes. Keep up the good work!

Has potential. At the moment is worse.

even when fixed it will not solve his problems of getting kited forever since that's intended design.

If you think about it, the rework makes a lot of sense.

The changes to Q are there to nerf his burst potential and establish him as a sustained damage fighter, which his shield already lends to rather well. Burst mage Mordekaiser is NOT healthy.

The added total AD ratios allow for a more smoothed out damage curve, making his damage less spiky with levels. Additionally, the AD ratios being equal to the AP ratios means that it is still better to primarily build AP - you get roughly 1.6-2 times the AP for the same price (300 AD is rather difficult to get. 600 AP, not so much).

The main caveat I understand is the fact that the W is going to be only useful with a buddy, which nerfs solo lane Mordekaiser.

Even thematically, it makes somewhat sense for him to be with a partner...or rather, an underling to shoo around. He is an Overlord, after all.

Bonus for extra OP item: item 3146 . Alway shield, always HP, never die. Huehuehue.

He is objectively worse now, as a Mordekaiser main that actually played him on the PBE.

You apparently can't use your W without a nearby allied champion.

If you attempt to solo-lane (or clear jungle camps) you are going to be down an ability.
