If you main say "Teemo" and your name is "Teemo Only" or anything of the likes and people are banning your teemo at champ select so you can't play your champion, intentionally as well not just a random targeted ban. Is this toxic?

its not like teemo is that difficult of a champion.

But kiting effectively is a difficult mechanic that Teemo needs, and often times animation canceling on a new champ can feel clunky because every champion has different timings. Example, I'm a beast at orbwalking with Darius (I can get it down to close to a frame after the attack hits) but when I play any other top I tend to screw up pretty badly.

This happens so often to me that if i see someone who picks a champion that just got a good skin i will dodge or ask them to pick someone else.

I want to iterate I chose Teemo as an EXAMPLE. He doesn't warrant a ban. There aren't many mains of him so people couldn't construe who it was or wasn't. This is in reference to a streamer that bans peoples main champion(s) and then harasses them both on stream and in game.

When I was in Silver, I would often ban Lee Sin, specifically so my team couldn't pick it. There is no "taking away their best champion" in this case, because there is no such thing as a good Lee Sin in silver. Might sound toxic, but it's for the best.

Yes. If I main a champ why would you as my team want me to perform less than optimal by banning the champ I'm most comfortable with. Intentionally sabotaging someone's champ because You don't want the champ is ,in my opinion, toxic. If some one says "hey don't ban fizz " I'm going to assume this is for a good reason. They probably feel comfortable with this champ and have had success with it before.

I'm not sure if it is toxic, but you are being a pretty huge asshole by doing so, and it is a good way to put your teammate on tilt, if not multiple teammates if they agree that was a dick move.

Toxic though, I think that is a stretch. Big difference between being toxic, and being a dick. It is very much a dick move but, it is what it is.

if you dont have 1st pick and its an op/highly contested pick then its legit to ban it. Why let the enemy team have 1st crack at it?

If you main a top ban, then too bad.

Piltover Customs1 votes

It's more along the lines of someone hating one-trick pony or just hating on the player. Not that it's a top ban or on the enemy team :)

It's a team game. Realize that. Banning someone champ is like condemning them to play something they are bad at. You basically just reduce the win chance you have. (And the fun of the other player)

Not sure if it is bannable. But by doing this you are quite definetly an asshole.

O.. By no means is this me.. it is a streamer and he mocks the person as he does it.

I guess this could be for the "show"... But then he "show"s a bad example. Sorry for the quick conclusion.

Probably wouldn't report, but don't be a jerk.

Toxic? No. Classless? Absolutely.

Teemo is won of the champions if you lose to then you are bad.

Yes he brings damage and CC that can cripple a ADC, but he has no HP so anyone can sneeze at him and make the game a 4v5 at all times.

If the teemo is getting penta then you had no focus and you are going to lose anyways.

Yes! Banning teemo was a good call.

Depends on if you are banning out someone who wants to go Bard mid on your team or not. In that rare case you would actually have the power to stop trolls.

Honestly if anyone ever says "X champion only" i will ban that champion. 100% of the time, and no i am not lying, they will feed or troll all game. Never ever have i ever played a game where someone said "i only play X champion" and done well or not trolled/fed on purpose. Never. Banning their champ is almost a guaranteed way to get them to dodge so it usually works out for me, like 60ish% of the time. The other 40ish% they still troll and feed, but they were going to do that anyways so its whatever. Silver (and im guessing Bronze) is just full of these kinds of people and its part of the reason i have taken a break from Ranked. Actually just League in general for a bit, this community makes the game not fun and i find myself giving up or not even trying in most of my games now... I do not want to become one of them.

it's toxic if you're banning it just because you don't like the idea or you don't like the champ. some people ban a champ cause they don't know how to play them in a lane and think you wont either... that's what i hate

Drunk Rummate1 votes

for me its more along the lines of not wanting that champion on my team.

if someone is named Teemo Only then sure I'll ban teemo

but i'm certainly not going to ban Jinx if I have Jinx Only on my team.
