Not Banned, just reported for Harassment : Offensive Langauge

Recently got a notification (My first!) that I was reported for Harassment: Offensive Language. Comes after a game where I did little to no talking to begin with. I'm a pretty swell guy. So was kind of shocking when the report came up. Most likely came up for intentionally feeding and they slapped a few other together with it. Bad game, it happens.

My question to the Player Behavior & Moderation team: Since I wasn't as such, what happens to the guy(s) that slammed me with the reports? Why is the system flagging me with it when there was no case?

Edit: Also if there is a log I can see where it happened? (Since it wasn't a ban/reform card I have no viewing of it?) I mean it is slightly possible I may have said something that could of flagged for that and if such I'd like to know about it.

Someone reported you because of the culture of reporting everyone in LoL for anything and everything.

If the report is unfounded nothing will happen.

Nothing will happen to the person for filing a false report.

This message is a way for people to troll you after the game, because they know you will see it.

/ignore all every game

The warnings mean nothing other then that you were reported. It's a heads up that you have been reported, so that people have knowledge that they might be punished.

If you don't do anything wrong, then the report doesn't do anything. In fact, it lowers the credibility of the reporter.

As for what happened to the other people, if you reported them, then they will get a review.

As others have said, all it means is that you were reported. The system doesn't validate the report before giving that popup, so if you know you did nothing wrong, there's nothing to worry about. It in no way indicates that you are about to be punished or anything like that.

As for what happens to those players? The system is built so that players who frequently abuse the report feature with false reports will have the weighting of their reports diminished over time. Eventually, the system would just ignore any reports made by these people. Also, they have been known to go through and ban some of the worst offenders for abusing the report feature, so that is always a possibility.

One thing to note is that Riot recently mentioned in a similar thread that they're going to be upgrading this warning feature in the near future.

Thanks for the post folks. Like I said I've never received one before (though I make use of the report feature a good amount).

If you didnt get banned, you didnt do anything wrong. If those guys keep sending fake reports eventually their report value will decrease to such point that it will be discarded immediately.
