Why do premades get more stuff if Riot wants to support SQ players? [Civilized Discussion].

Title. IP, frags, chests, DQ, etc., all these premades get more of.

Why did Riot implement these if they want to support solo Q players? I'm honestly curious.

its a team game not call of duty, grouping is encouraged and people complain lmao. I'd rather have players I know that aren't dumbasses than take a chance I get an adc Zed or mid Zac.

who says friends won't pick that? (carried my friend who went zac mid full ap as trundle in ranked once)

RIOT gives premades stuff because playing with friends is a buisness idea. They cannot completely alienate solo players so thats why they have ranked emblems.

But Riot doesn't support solo play, that's the whole reason why dynamic queue was created... The emblems they came out with were to try and keep the crybabies satisfied for a while but it didn't really help.

They say they support it, so Im asking.

Riot says a lot of things.

who said riot wanted to support filthy yoloqueuers? Did riot even really say that or did they just say that in response to crying yoloqueuers to shut them up like they sometimes seem to do.

They said it.

Because while they want to allow people to play solo ( hence, support it ), they also want to incentize group play.

After all, it's a team game. They're not going to complain about you playing entirely with randoms, but they do hope you'll find people you have good in-game chemistry with so you'll have less games where you have to deal with players heavier then a thousand-ton weight. Those games are generally far less fun to most people, after all. The extra in-client rewards are just to sweeten the deal, and potentially get people who are on the fence about finding a group to play with to try it out.

I think Riot's ideal world is one where every player finds a group of friends that they can regularly play together and improve together. In such a world, the game becomes less about random matchmaking and more about growing as a team. To that end, rewards are geared towards encouraging people to find others to play with.

When Riot says they want to support Solo players, they mean they want solo players to feel like they're able to compete and be evaluated fairly. It's worth pointing out that if bonus IP or key fragments are your goal, there are public chat rooms with other solo players looking to get the same rewards, and you can team up with them for the rewards.

Riot gives more of those things because otherwise players would just queue up solo to reduce downtime between games even if they had the opportunity to play with friends and have more fun that way. Otherwise they would actually end up earning much less IP, keys, and chests because time spent organizing groups equates to lost games and lost rewards for games.

Also, none of those things are what Solo queue players are asking for. They complain that they get less but what they want in compensation is not IP, chests, or keys.
