Zoe intended to be bot with support?!!

I feel as though they created Zoe to shake things up bot lane but want us to find out she's meant there for ourselves. She has like one cc ability so she can't be a control mage, probably not a very good support either. Zoe gives the option to make an AD assassin mid a good pick without missing out on AP If your jungler doesn't pick AP that deals big damage rather than an AP tank

--With a support like Thresh she could shoot her Q backwards take thresh's lantern and 1 shot an adc level 1 if it lands. Imagine this with ult range.

--Passive empowers zoe's autos

--Low cooldown ult she can ult/position in bot side brush where preferably there is no vision (enemy ward) poke adc before they know what hit them and then she's back to safety or to steal drag.

--2v2 bot equals more summoner spells to steal and enemy support usually builds one active item.

--Zoe's E (If cast over a wall, it gains casting range.) Could be useful around the dragon pit & for zoning/separating enemy support/enemy adc if they dodge it or if it lands you can just punish.

Prolly but there are other champs who will do the job better such as Leo or Morgana. I'd rather have Zoe and a support who has more tools for the job, than Zoe and Ahri.

Zoe has one major damaging ability (q) if planned & executed because it still has small radius around her for 2nd q cast. So yeah she can burst (reliably? we'll see) but enemy mid laners are not just gonna let you walk up pre 6 for 2nd q cast without cc'ing. If someone could cc the enemy to make it easier to land q (cough support cough)

Ahri works similarly. Q main dmg, E hurts a little and stuns, W has 3 flames (Zoe 3 missiles) and both Rs will make other parts of their kit a bigger threat. It's just Zoe gets bigger range so she can poke like Lux on her abilities, where as Ahri gains mobility but not as much range so that she can flank as an assassin.

She doesn't bring the high level, reliable damage that a marksman brings. She also doesn't have anything for structures, which makes her one step worse than Ziggs bot lane.

I think that you could probably play Zoe bot lane with some success, just as some people have played Darius and Yasuo bot lane with some success, but I doubt it will ever be meta. Part of this has to do with scaling; it's worth it to marksman to go into a duo lane because gold is more important to them than XP. Mages don't do as well with shared XP, I think, which is why they haven't become a preferred pick over marksmen in that lane in general.

A better question here would be, why would someone want Zoe instead of Ziggs in the bot lane? Because if Ziggs is only decent there, Zoe is unlikely to be any better in my estimation.

She seems like a champ you pick when you know you have an ad mid and just no ap threat. What if your team already has good sieging in the top/jungle with champs such as xin zhao, trundle, olaf, tryndamere, master yi, etc. More often then not an adc is gonna lose lane either you or enemy and not become reliable till late game. Lose lane=no xp/gold. Zoe is definitely a play maker champ with many strengths so what sieging isnt one of them if you have a team full of ad and you put* your opponent behind.

You can make anything work. In the situation where it does, you're right about why it does.

It's unlikely to see play, though, because I think if Zoe gets behind she won't have the tools to be useful from the bottom lane.

We'll have to see how good zoes early game is. Could be like a shaco/lee sin/ or draven type of champ where you want to end the game early. Overall excited to play her

If your team has no AP threat, you take Veigar support and still come out of lane with a load of stacks.

Considering CertainlyT also attempted to shake the bot lane meta up with both Yasuo and the Morde rework, it’s not far fetched.

Still think Zoe’s better in the mid lane.

Have been watching zoe pbe all day on twitch and im flabbergasted. Reminds me of camille on release. You could play zoe anywhere any roll and win in her pbe state. If she comes out like this im abusing it. The type of counter that sort of works against is closing the gap so zoe q distance does less damage or dodge it and dont run from her but she was still out damaging opponents.

Nope, it's a midlaner. She won't be bad as a supp but you're stretching pretty hard.

if you combine her hop forward with the Q launch it works fine and hes a big range, as a supp you have to hop in, stun, hop back and then sling in a Q with way less AP then mid would
