Ranked reset making it harder to climb Tiers?

So was silver 5 before the ranked reset happened. I knew even if I had been silver 3 or silver 2 that the soft reset was more then likely gonna put me back In the bronze tier. I thought to myself...AWSOME, im gonna climb through bronze again and get my silver just like I did last season. piece of cake right?

So I finished placement. Got jack slapped to bronze 3. I went 6/4 in my placements. As I queued up for a bronze game..the reality hit me. I realized that there is gonna be a shit ton of silver players in bronze now..then I became furious..felt cheated.

SO WHAT THIS MEANS!!! if I want to get back to Silver 5? I have to beat a bunch of silver players who got demoted from there prelims and sent to bronze? So basically I have to play like a gold player now to get to Silver 5?

As it stands now

Bronze=Silver Silver=Gold Gold=Plat ECT

MY QUESTION

Would it be wise for me to wait this out so that others finish there prelim matches? Perhaps this would dilute the amount of silver players in bronze and make the queue a bit diverse. I know i can carry myself out of the bronze that i personally knew last season. Lets hope i don't have to be of Gold skill to do this now.

Don't worry, every single reset has been that way. True bronze will stay bronze, and silver will climb out. It had been that way last season. It won't be harder to climb

I'm not exactly thrilled with the reset. However, to answer your question. No, because while u may be paired up against ppl who are better than you, your allies may be higher rank than you too.

I'm running into the same thing myself. Basically have to play perfectly 10/10 to get out. I already lost my first one solo because of an AFKer. Happy hunting.
