^ GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY, THE TOXICITY PIPES ARE FLOWING AGAIN!!! Or are they? Riot has told us it's 1%. I don't believe it. So I am about to embark on a journey (well, after I fight Rag in WoW) to discover the true percentage. I'll take from a hundred games and note only the people on my team, excluding myself. so a data range of about 400 people, yes? While this may or may not be too small of a data pool, I just don't don't have the dang time to do a thousand games.

EDIT: I'm defining toxic as such: Basically a toxic player will be someone who rages at or insults other players on the team. Someone who is just saying "Gosh, we are so going to lose" will not be toxic, just on tilt. Someone who Blames another player justly or unjustly will be toxic, someone who rages for little to no reason will be toxic, and of course someone who is trolling (intentionally attempting to make his team mad/intentionally feeding) will be toxic. For the blame thing, the nature of the blame will be taken into account. A simple reminder, ("hey dude, play a little more passive.") will not be blame, but yelling at/putting down will be, ("YOU FKING RAN IN THERE WITH NO BACK UP, FK YOU MAN"). Anyone who is being toxic to the other team will be included in the toxic category, but I will not count anyone on the other team being toxic to mine.

Anyway, I want to know before I go in what the general opinion is. Do you think that it's the 1%, closer to 10%, 20%, ect?

How will you judge toxicity? Also will you rate the toxicity from like "actually trying(but failing) to be helpful"-"barely literate rager/troll"?

Please note that every game I play will contribute to my data, i'm not going to try to localize it to one mode. I normally frequent Ranked and Teambuilder, with an occasional ARAM.

I've begun my research.

I find it interesting that the pollers believe that it's going to be around 25%, meaning that at least one person on your team, besides yourself, is going to be toxic.
