You know what I find hilarious?

Turns out, the champions that people think are 'Underpowered' are actually some of the most Overpowered because no one knows how the hell to deal with them. Take...Olaf for example. 'Olaf Tier' 'Olaf sucks now' 'rework Olaf!' You know, I go into a couple games as Olaf, and I find that he is awesome at jungling. Good dualist good sustain and can solo dragon by... I usually do it by 5. He is a nice, solid jungler and not many people know how to deal with him because of his ultimate. Sure, he may not be optimal, sure, he may not be able to make big plays, but you know what? He's K. Urgot is another example. Clearly he's hard because I've yet to see a truly great Urgot, but I've heard of them. And there have been a couple Urgots I've seen that are actually quite solid. Then there's Poppy.... And Taric.... the list goes on. If there's one champion I think is truly underpowered, it's Sion. i typically find myself ignoring him. But you know what? His ult is hilarious.

I'm thinking Nemesis Mode is coming out to show everyone the strengths of the non-meta champions. People keep giving me Taric on the PBE, and they keep acting surprised when Taric 2v1s them.

I love new sion tough, so much fun even if he isn't the strongest guy in the game. he has a lot of cc and gets really tanky still. Also, yah that ult is fun xD

You're working with old information. Major changes have happened to the game since Olaf was Olaf'ed. When the game changes the relative power of all the champs shifts around.

You just haven't found the hidden powers of Sion yet.

I find him to be incredibly strong in the right situations.
I wouldn't be surprised to find him being picked on a well-coordinated pro team.

A character being underpowered usually means that less people play the champion in question, and people therefore don't know how to play against it. However, this doesn't mean that the champion itself is OP, but that the champion is unfamiliar. Since people don't know how to play against them, they have to learn how to play against the champ, and learn how to deal with that specific matchup. In other words, a champion can't really be called OP because no one knows how to play against it. They just need to learn how to play against it. If you learn how to play against it, then the matchup gets a lot easier, and your opponent loses the surprise factor of your underpowerd pick, and the second time you play the matchup you have a big advantage because you know the matchup.

Yes and No. You are right just because a champ is weaker stat wise doesn't mean you won't do well with them in a game because people won't know how to counter them, such as Eve jungle pre-rework. However, when people do know how to deal with that champ you will get put in your place.

Edit: Also, funny you were talking about olaf. I played a game as him not to long ago, his clearing is awkward and can be kited easily, even with your ult.
