How Much Farming Is Considered TOO Much Farming?

I have been averaging about 9 cs a minute these past 7ish games which have been about 30-40 minutes long. Would this be considered too much farming? As in I should I group more instead of splitting my lane to farm and farming the enemy jungle?

That's good cs. I'd say cs every second that u can afford to, not only do you get gold you can put some pressure on their lanes by pushing. I like to keep track of how much time i have left to cs. For example if baron is spawning in two minutes then i probably have a minute before i have to back and help set up for baron. Same for drag, herald, seiging, etc.

It's only too much when you're full build and your team isn't.

Its fine as long as you use your time effectively, and group to contest objectives, its also correct to group when the enemy is grouping and you will win teamfights, have to remmember that all the gold is useless if your not doing anything with it.

to group when the enemy is grouping and you will win teamfights.

But what if you won't win that teamfight

On a more serious note, when one team "groups" because the enemy does, the game runs risk of turning into ARAM...

Then you tell your team that you will splitpush and pray that they win 4v4, and don”t walk too far up to get 5vs 4ed before you get the waves pushing. Every game is different, there is no correct answer, there are times when even champions like Tryndamere have to group if situation demands it.

I feel aslong as you're not farming endlessly and throwing the game due to it then it's not too much. The jungle would probably go to the enemy teams gold pile and your team not farming the lane means that gold probably gets wasted to a turret eventually.
