Can someone explain to me the "Keep everyone at 50% Win/Loss" algorithm ?

Here is proof of 4 of my past 5 games. Literally nothing I could do, multiple feeders and losing lanes in every single one of these games.

I'm on a losing streak due to this.

How does this work?

Is RIOT intentionally giving me terrible players and placing them in higher ELO to make me lose and keep me at 50%?

Or what is going on? How does it work?

As you win, your elo rises so you get matched with and against better players. After you get to the rank you belong, your winrate in theory should trend towards 50%. Obviously this only applies in the longrun and the vast majority of players aren't at 50%

But why am I on a long losing streak where matchmaking is giving me terrible players, on a consistent basis? I am losing games through no fault of my own. How does ELO rank me accurately with this going on? I posted the screenshots in OP.

Because matchmaking found the elo range that matches your skill level. In that range, you are not good enough to consistently carry games and you are not bad enough to consistently cost your allies games. As a result, your games become more dependent on whether or not your allies are having good games.

The idea is that when you are at your adequate skill level (elo) it’ll be a coin toss, tho like u said I’m clueless as to how they do it.

But it doesn't actually work that way, because low elo is glutted with smurfs with Twitch/Youtube feeds wanting to impress people. In his third game, the Kat is actually a Plat smurf.

And, the chance of you getting them if you play specific roles on your team is pretty slim. They tend to vastly be Junglers/Mids/adcs, and if you are an Elo relevant and duo with a Support, or you jungle, or you mid, you lower your chances of your team getting a smurf. Tops get them about 50/50.

There isnt one. As you approach your true MMR a 50% win rate occurs naturally.

That's an incredibly self-centered way of thinking. No, there's no conspiracy, riot isn't predicting players are going to feed, and they aren't putting them in games above their skill level just to make sure you lose.

Ideal matchmaking would give everyone an equal chance of winning or losing, so if the system were working properly and everyone was at the same skill level, every game would be a coin flip. Streaks are natural when there's a 50/50 chance of either outcome happening.

Screenshots prove otherwise. I'm being given terrible teammates and it caused a long losing streak.

Its crazy how people just assume everything should just always work perfectly for them because they are just gods gift to the world how dare Riots matchmaking give you a bad game those darn evil doers i tell you. grow the fuck up...
