I don't play top lane ever but I find 
really fun to play. I like the champ lore and her abilities give her great outplay potential. I'd like for her to be a strong pick for me. Any advice?
There's a lot of stuff on the Riven subreddit. Practice tool will also help you learn her quick combos faster than ever. Once you've got that down you should be fine^^... well... for a Riven player that is.

Riven is a unique champ in that she can thrive in pretty much all matchups, the sky is the limit but you'll need to know her like the back of your hand. Lots of normals and practice tool sessions!
Remember that hard stuns hurt her badly. She can probably bust through a slow but a stun will pretty much mulch her combo. Note your matchup and enemy jungler accordingly, because if they've access to easy stuns, they probably have a plan against Riven.
Lubricate your keyboard Because all you're gonna be doing is QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQEEEEEWWWWWQQQQQWWWEEQQQQQWWWE since you're not penalized for casting whenever you want since you have no mana but have 2 mobility abilities and a ranged % missing hp ult.
