So why are kai'sa building It just doesn't seem to make any sense. I've seen it twice today and they never did any damage even with second. So what is the purpose?

It's 1000g cheaper than item 3031 first item. Once they get that and another item 1037 they can evolve their Q at an earlier state in the game. Additionally, once it's fully stacked the item does bonus damage on basic attacks AND spells.

It was meta in Korea so everyone bandwagons onto it because they have the most wins in worlds. It doesn't have the attack speed OR damage she needs. It makes her 30 min in even more op than normal but it's not worth it. The storm razor build should be what they stick with unless they do better with manamune

It's also good if you are going for hybrid builds. If you want a full AD build then stick with IE or Stormrazor first. I personally like the hybrid build as it shreds through frontline.
