Literally can't stand Yasuo.

Why does an assassin/fighter have a shield he gets for moving, a low cooldown dash (to gain shield quicker), and a projectile cancelling wall?

Then he proceeds to make your minions more terrifying for you than for him because he dashes through them. It's safer to run out of lane against Yasuo than it is to run towards your turret.

He has a knock up that is part of his most spammable ability and further holds them suspended for his ult which is a lot of utility for a mobile assassin champ to have (see ekko)

Double crit chance and bonus armor pen are just tacked on to his kit but don't worry that isn't a problem because his crits do less damage I promise. One item on Yasuo and he has more crit than most champs have with two.

I know the "hurr durr git gud" is coming, I know I'm gold V, I know that I don't know nearly as much about the game as most, and I certainly know that its not simple "this counters him or that counters him" but what can I do?

Any suggestions on what to do will be a big help.

What do other assassins have? Khazix has stealth. Zed has immense burst damage that requires no setup. Fizz has troll pole. Without wind wall do you know what happens to Yasuo? An ADC right clicks on him and he dies. If you notice, practically every other assassin has a method to escape. Yasuo does not UNLESS there is a creep between him and his escape path.

What do other fighters have? Incredible damage without NEEDING to build crit. They get this from stuff like Xin's ability spam or Fiora's true damage based on her AD.

How to beat Yasuo? Vi will destroy him all game long. There is very little, if anything that he can do unless you ult him at a moronic time. Simply wait until he doesn't have that third Q up (when he's glowing and ready to knock people up), ult him and bash his face in. Xin Zhao also destroys him. Jax destroys him. Fizz destroys him. Irelia destroys him. Maokai will totally ruin his day since he can't do much when he's rooted. Nasus will obliterate him once he has 300+ Q stacks. Rammus can shut him down. Malphite can shut him down.

Yasuo used to be a huge pain to me too, but then I started playing him, I noticed his weaknesses, and started from there.

Depending on who you're playing, you want to spend some resources when available to keep his shield down. Don't go for any all ins or trades when its up, and keep an eye on his flow meter incase he wants to get fancy and have it go up during an engage.

His current bane are 2 things. Non projectile spells like Malz's E, or Big Fat SHIELDS like Lulus R.

Another thing to take into account is often he'll use his E to last hit, which can often put him in a poor spot if you look at where he's going. He'll always end up on the opposite side of the minion, so landing any must land abilities like Velkoz' E will be easier if you fire just behind your minion when you see him walking forward for a dash.

Outside of laning phase your best bet is to stay with your team, keep an eye on his tornado, and play it safe. If you get ahead of him deny him farm/

I played a game last night where our Yasuo fed in lane but then hit 2 items and started destroying everything. Ended up doing the most damage in the game despite dying 4 times in lane by 12 minutes and being down farm for a long time (eventually he got a lot because nobody could go near him alone)
