Taric buffs?

So, Taric is obviously going to need a rework at some point but for now why not jut buff the range of his shield aura? It would be a good buff but wouldn't change his individual power level at all. Seriously look at the range you have to literally be standing right next to the person you want to buff and it's kinda counter intuitive when he's got a big hammer to smack some people utilizing his champ passive but in order for his adc to make use of his w passive they need to stand right next to him.
