Hextech chests and keys dont seem to be random at all

I know that getting a chest and a key fragment is hard but I get so many chests that as of right now I have 19 chests...... I know you get a chest every few days by getting an s and what not but the keys are supposed to be random. However, the chances of getting one is quite low to where it took me two weeks to get one whether I was on a big streak or not. id suggest to increase this chance by about 5% so maybe I can get some recognition with these chests ive earned.

Keys are random, but there is a 12 fragment per 30 day period limit and the drop rate decreases the more you earn (so after your reset you'll see them much more frequently).

As for chests, they are 100% not random. You must meet specific requirements to earn them, including earning an S-/S/S+, a premade ally earning an S-/S/S+, and you not having yet earned a chest for the champion you're playing this season.

Hi! I've been recording my Hextech Key Fragment drops to get a rough sense of the percentages. So far I have been through three cycles and am on my fourth. In my first cycle, I got 25 wins and 10 Key Fragments. In my second cycle, I got 14 wins and 6 Key Fragments. In my third cycle, I got 45 wins and 11 Key Fragments. In my fourth cycle, I have gotten 37 wins and 9 Key Fragments. My longest streak of wins without a Key Fragment was 14. I got the Fragment on the fifteenth win. This was for the eighth Key Fragment. There is an upper limit to how many wins you can get before the system takes pity on you and hands you the Fragment after your next win. I'm not sure if 15 wins is the threshold for key frag #8 but it's probably pretty close.

I have a lot of spare Hextech Chests right now (13). Since I'm not getting all my Key Fragments each month, I should probably play with more premades, especially 5 man premades.
