The boards wanted the item nerfed a lot so this is what happens. The item wasn't that great before the nerf and was only "OP" in low elo were most do not know how to counter a devourer jungler but if that nerf is just overkill. Don't worry though the League Boards know balance if it wasn't for them complaining about the Juggernaut reworks being very weak we wouldn't have these totally not overtuned monsters running around.

Devourer is a waste on Vi she is an early pressure champ and with devourer she loses that and she doesn't synergize that well with it. For Nocturne just play control junglers like Lee Sin or Nunu and prevent him from farming also early gankers like Vi or Pantheon will be good too.

I don't care about up votes or down votes I'm just providing information for the thread whether the readers agree with me or don't have the knowledge to see why devourer is not that great.
Voluug131 votesVi doesnt really loses much jungle pressure early because: she has fast clear times, she gets a lot of inherent damage on her kit alone, and earlygame she can gank effectibly without even buying combat stats.
Combine that with a couple of strong earlygame champions and you have a game where Vi can camp a lane or two while cleaning the jungle really fast.
And for Nocturne... Lee Sin!? NUNU!? There you lost 100% credibility because Nocturne shits on them both. Nunu tries to iceball Noc? Spellshielded and thanks for the AS buff. Same with Lee Sin's Q or W bye Lee Sin damage. Pantheon? SS the stun, counter with QE and kill him while he has to stand there doing Heartseeker, probably. With Vi simply SS the Q and she loses a lot of damage in the trade.
In fact, Notcurne shits on basically everyone that depends on one spell for engage, and gets destroyed by more AA focused Junglers.

we all know that riot was oblivious to vayne jg. the real reason they nerfed sated for ranged champions is because they are just now realizing how fucking OP it is once they started testing the new champion kindred in the jungle.
