We had one.

Soraka before her rework. It was deemed that 'a walking health/mana dispenser wasn't fun to play'.

I always thought her particular mana thing was dumb anyway. I could see a support having a heal that also restores an amount of mana, and then also have 3 other cool abilities, because it was seriously dumb to have a champ with a 20s cd heal and that weird mana thing that you could burn to sort-of annoy your opponent

I personally really liked her old playstyle. Then again, I'm a true support main with no interest in getting kills or doing damage (unless I'm playing Sona). I liked supporting my teammates with heals and mana.

Wasn't fun to play against* It was hella fun to play.

Having someone with strong poke such as Lucian/Varus/Caitlyn being able to infinitely spam their abilities in lane was hilariously easy to win lane with and instantly win the game because of how far back you set the enemy

I'm quoting what Riot said when they reworked her. They thought players weren't finding it as fun as it could be to just be a healbot/manabot(I'm paraphrasing what I saw across multiple sources). But yeah, I agree with you. I loved playing Soraka with Lucian or Sivir and just watching them spam all day. Also fun was the Vayne lane that turned into sustain-and-farm lane, and come midgame she wrecked because she just farmed to 200 minions because the two of you never had to leave lane.
