Title, what are your opinions :o

Her ulti looks like it might be dreadful in the hands of a troll but I'll give it a pass because it looks interesting. They failed to mention one of my favourite niche supports among her synergies but I'm looking forward to executing a wombo combo with her and Galio.

Oh God. Have Galio launch himself and taunt the enemy team. My palms just got sweaty.

Infinite mobility. And what do we bitch about on Lee Sin? What have a lot of players bitched about on Nidalee? Oh boy. Let's give her even more mobility if she AA's you. Orb walk is real. Kite is real.

Yeah, the mobility is going to be hell. At the very least with Lee sin, it's an easy to hit skillshot, but there's still a cast time, but with this, being able to near automatically Orbwalk is insane. All stomping adc's have super mobility lately :l

My problem is that ult, being able to take a support or a tank and basically toss them at the enemy for a 1.5 second knockup is ridiculous, especially with a good team comp.

The ability is more like "orbwalking for noobs" in that it automates orbwalking. Forget the minidashes, this skill removes one of the elements that increase the skill cap of playing a marksman.

So forgive a newb here for a moment, but what is orb walking?

Raja Chachki1 votes

Ahri ult, she has 3 charges and each charge gives her a dash that also shoots out an orb to damage a enemy.

Sorry to reply a bit late, heh, but Orb Walking is basically cutting off the Auto attack animation to allow for quicker DPS due to less AA time. Basically, you're walking away slightly every time your auto attack goes out, so you basically get an increase in attack speed. Also helps a ton for kiting, c:

Her passive sounds cool. Should be really easy to land skillshots on her in Lane due to it, but simultaneously she'll kite like a pro.

Her ult sounds way OP. Unless it has like 2000 or less range (it sounds global though) it could be used on mid/top to get easy ganks bot Lane, free escapes when split pushing, instant map pressure at objectives, etc... With mid particularly, mostly assassins, now they can dive the back line to blow up an adc and then not die themselves due to her ult (when an assassin killing the adc in exchange for their own life is already a good trade).

They're going to have to really reduce the range on her ult (probably making her weak) to make her bind the support. Right now I see assassins making much better use of her ultimate, or top laners/split pushers for the map pressure.

Otherwise the regular skills look good. Especially the passive on her w as long as it doesn't push her damage too high.

It looks like her ally has to click Kalista to jump to her and click a second time to use the AoE knock up.

Thresh's Lantern + mini Malphite ult.

Janna late to a teamfight and the enemy team focuses Kalista? No problem. Now Janna doesn't even have to use Flash. Click Kalista, knock them up, not even having wasted Monsoon (making it another option if that wasn't enough).

Melee bruisers will cry, can't reach Kallista. The passive sounds just mean to an entire class of champions, how is a melee bruiser ever supposed to counterplay this? You either have consistent mobility/cc or Kallista will just kite you endlessly, creating a gap whenever you close in.

Perhaps it will turn out to be a very small distance or she'll have a low base attack speed or low range/movementspeed to balance it out. The concept seems dislikeable to me though.

Yeah, something else I was noticing is that the range is increased when moving away from the target, so it's basically untouchable if the enemy doesn't have some sort of cc/gapcloser. Like, if Kalista went top against Shyvana, there'd be nothing a shyvana could ever do, because she'd be hard pressed to even land an AA :c.

On another note, rend seems like such a brutal skill if you're paired with a cc handy support like Thresh or Leona, you'll be able to stack at least four or five spears before they even have a chance of truly getting away, it just seems way too easy. I saw somebody post that League of legends has been making really hard champions lately and I was confused because besides say Azir, who still isn't that high of a skill cap, they're all extremely easy, just in my opinion ;s. Overall, she'll probably have about twenty glitches because y'know, Rito and their fine balancing aren't the best.

The ultimate itself is kind of like Malphite, Nocturne(sortamaybe?), and then being untargetable until released. It's just a bit brutal, because if timed right, you can basically nullify say Zilean's Q, or any ranged travelling ability or even ignite, and I'm kind of like, :c

Her mobility is highly tuneable (AKA: nerfable). They can change how far she dashes, they can change her attack speed, they can change her attack range, etc. It's also going to be hard for her to chase down an enemy (due to shorter jumps going towards an enemy), and she most likely won't be able to jump over walls.

She's definantly going to be at home on the bot lane, but I could see her being a flex pick. Some people already take Ashe support, and Kalista's kit seems better suited to be a support than Ashe.

Her Sentinals are going to be interesting. The video made it very clear that they can see enemies in bushes, and it seems like they last long enough to have two out at a time.

Her Ult is going to be odd to get use to, both as allies and as enemies. We'll have to see more about it before we can really determine how it should be used.

I don't like her move animations so far, but that could change.

Her R will make her as much of a troll pick as Urgot or Teemo, which makes me sad. But she seems very intriguing, maybe even the ability to support because of her ghost wards.

Everything about Kalista SCREAMS TO ME.... SUPPORT! Hell, Thresh technically has a ranged attack yet is support.. She does not have the typical support feel.. More the niche support role.. Like Kayle.. "Ima start off support, but once mid game comes, I'm my own damage"

Can't wait to see her in action!

CreationFlaw1 votes

On another note, Kalista if she went top would be an absolute monster unless she were facing a ranged top, or highly mobile like Riven. Sure, she doesn't have a blind like Quinn, but the fact is, with the passive, she doesn't need it. Either way, the champion is going to change the game. Wish they'd start making champions that can go into league of legends without screwing up the feel of half it it.
