Remake in one of my games didn't work when it should have

Just queued into a game, we had an Udyr jungle, and he never connected. Didn't get into loading screen, nothing. Guess what happens? No remake option

Nothing, not at all. He never connected, the rules of remake allow us to get kills and die as long as the player doesn't dc after we die. Get a kill? Remake can happen. Person is dc'd the entire time but you die, in theory you should be able to remake: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/player-behavior/play-games-matter/remake
