I build that all the time when I go top actually

mostly against ppl who build attack speed since it actually scales with enemy attack speed

I occasionally build it on darius depending on the matchup (typically against pure single target champs like irelia).

They should rework its passive to have more regen instead of the block single target blah blah. Would make it a lot more useful for bad matchups where trades usually arent favorable.

I'd say for a new passive it should be:

Upon being hit by a basic attack or ability, gain 14 hp over 3 seconds

This incentivizes trades against bad matchups to be limited to poke. If you take some poke here and there and nothing else, you can regen some of it back. However, if you take extended poking like multiple autos then you still get punished.

DoTs only apply the effect once during the first tick.

It also allows the item to be useful against champions that bully with aoe spells (darius, riven, etc) where the item feels lackluster right now.

Its only good against irelia and jax, in other matchups just go corruption or other starting doran's

doran's pocket watch? grants 1 gold per 5 seconds? i think i still buy that one on my urgot to help when i miss last hits <-- pretty sure that's him.

Yea... I very very very rarely ever start with that... I usually start Doran's blade if I go Tanky or bruiser champ and Doran's ring if I go an Ap top.

They seem a whole lot better than Doran's Dinner Plate.
