Reminder not to over-commit to getting a kill

You may think flashing in to get the kill on someone low health underneath tower or behind another enemy teammate and then proceeding to give a kill to someone else is "worth", but IT IS NOT, MY GOOD SIR.

Going kill for kill isn't worth, you're giving a kill to someone in the process.

Sometimes you just gotta let it go.

Actually, it depends on the situation.

If you are worth more gold than the enemy, it's not worth. If you are worth less gold than the enemy, it's worth. If you trade a kill for a tower/dragon/baron, it's worth. If you're already 0/8 and you pushed a lane from your middle tower to their middle tower before dying, it's worth, because you got more gold farming that wave than they got for killing you.

It's only worth if you type it in all chat.

It depends on each situation.

If you're trading your support killing their adc for their support killing your support, it's worth at all points in the game - even more so when it's late game and the enemy adc is doing well.

In general if you're ahead of the average and are getting shut down gold on the kill you dive for, and die to someone on the enemy team who is behind you and/or scales worse with gold than you, it is worth.

It's NOT worth when you're giving kill gold to someone who scales better with it than you, to someone who's already ahead and will be even farther ahead of your teammates now even if you caught up a bit, or when you're more important on the map to your team than the person you killed was to their team (e.g. Again late game, trading anyone for their adc is probably worth since the adc is the most important in terms of taking objectives late game when teamfights are won).

I guess one major exception is for an ace. If we're 3v1 at the enemy base, I'll gladly trade 2 for 1 just because our surviving member will end the game.
