"It's preseason who cares" as they lock in a champion they've never played before/not try at all/be inherently toxic the entire game/troll/etc.

Agreed. Not many people understand that the MMR you gain/lose now affects your placement when the Season resets, albeit, you'll ALWAYS end up almost full 5 divisions lower than where you ended preseason due to the gifting of Challenger back to the Challenger players, but instead, placing them in Plat and forcing EVERYONE else to get smushed down lower. Your best chances at higher ELO are to wait until May and do ranked on a new account until you go 9-1 or 10-0 in placements. You'll end up in Plat right away.

I say, either give Challengers back Challenger or hard reset everything if you really want to shake things up? Sure, people will complain, but by this time next year, people will be taking Ranked more seriously, they will have gotten better from playing with/against better players and with/against worse players.
