Ziggs buff dropped his winrate even more...

Champion.gg - Ziggs Middle Stats, Builds, Runes, Masteries and Counters

So I was wondering why this happened. Only explanation I have is cuz of people trying him out and feeding, but still the drop is quite significant.

Imo, one of his main issues is that he is too similar to Lux and Xerath, but doesn't provide something unique enough to pick him over them. Lux has incredible burst and pick potential and Xerath has stronger, more reliable poke. He may be a bit better at zoning, but nothing else. I hope this problem is adressed in the mid-year mage update.

Because before it was only mains playing him, now he got buffs and is free this week so a lot more people are playing him, thus a lower winrate.

The damage buff was nice, but as always, not what he needed. He needs a scaling cooldown on his ult. 120/110/100. Can't tell you how annoying it is to still have a 66 second cooldown when I have 45% cdr.

And yet out of the trio of pokey aps Xerath Ziggs Velkoz it is vel'koz who gets to be more distinct despite Ziggs needing it more.

two things:

His pickrate is nearly 3 times as high as befor, nearly half of the players play him the first time, which ofc has a bad impact on the winrate
Assasins are prominent right now and ziggs doesn't do to well vs them.

His drop in win rate might also be the result of Assassins being played more often now. A class which is sort of built to destroy squishy, immobile mages like Ziggs.

I could be wrong, though.

Honestly, I feel like it is the complexity of landing some skills. His ult needs to be centered for most damage, his q can bounce over people, and he has a lot of set and wait spells, like the minefield or the charge. It is easier to move around them than a skillshot. especially with the assassins in the meta today.

NO here is the thing....

His combo is to strong, there are people ( a lot) like me who played a lot of ziggs pre q nerf.

AND WE DID NOT MISS....like ever.

The other issue is his combo is SO FAST, you can dump his entire bar QWER in 0.34 seconds. When you had skilled zigs players that knew this they would throw everything at once and detonate his satchel making it impossible to dodge his ult.

His kit is just broken, his bomb bounce is obsurd, he has a massive slow field that people ussualy take a lot of needless damage from and you have a wall hop CC, peel and the damage just all comes out instantly.

I don't know how to fix him, personally I stopped playing him 100% with the bomb nerf, its just not cool to have your bomb bounce through so many player models and not get a hit meanwhile morgana is shooting her Q down mid lane and snaring the top laner at his tower.
