Can we get a badass visual improvement to her ultimate? Make it freeze the target on impact (think

ultimates) and create a ring of ice or a noticeable cloud of chilly air around it so that the AoE slow and damage field is more clear. She's one of the Freljord queens too, you know!

Venowolf4 votesWhen Sejuani or Lissandra ult froze the enemy I always thin that some day Ashe ult receive the same treatment, but they never do that. I mean its a Giant Frozen Arrow and stun, why not make the froze animation.

Was about to post this, Ashe changes in the works. They're really fun and I think they play up the unique elements that make Ashe a super unique Marksman (frost shot babbbyyyy).
No skillshots added confirmed.
The changes are pretty focused, mostly related to passive and Q with some small tweaks in the rest of her kit. I think the end result will feel very much like the current ashe with a bit more depth and satisfaction. (and a passive that makes more sense)
Avious4 votesI'm pretty sure somebody mentioned that they will change E by removing the gold passive as well as something else. Also, the tweaks were delayed because some visual improvements were necessary (fancy ult hype). However, I'm too lazy to search atm so if I'm wrong just tell me :3
Venowolf1 votesI dind't know nothing about her E, A new passive, and new mechanics on her Q, in her R, now she have a small AD scaling also the damage now scale with the arrow travel time. Her E don't have any hint, but maybe they remove the gold passive and add a crit passive, or something like that.

I personaly like more drow ranger but i am not saying ashe is bad , i like ashe 2.
And ;last ashe need visual update and she need some kind of self buff for example drow ranger have ultimate that give her accuracy in league there is no agility so it might be just bonus ad or atack speed.
Avious1 votesI love Ashe, but after a few ranked games I stopped playing her seriously as I had a hard time in the strong CC-high mobility meta. However, if they were to change her ultimate (thankfully they won't) I would quit playing her. I have no idea about DOTA btw. LoL is the only game I play :3

Also ashe is fine if you know your limits , like any other champions. Ashe is kite champ , have hard times vs any gap closing champs (which is current meta) so need team for her to pell (if u know what pell is) , than she can win teamfight easly.
Avious1 votesAtm she's just too easy to focus down. Teams usually have 2-3 tanks and 1 assassin, who pretty much delete her. Even with a high peel support like Lulu or Janna it's difficult to survive with Ashe.
36949613_DEL1 votesI must admit that you are right , but (hahaha always but) but you are bot lane , k , and you are playing with support so it is dual lane , you will be able to win bot lane and farm up to be able to kill any assassin in 2-3 shots.Thats the only way!!! Kill tham before thay kill you , and let the support pell it for you , you also ofc have arrow in face style to pell :).

Actually, Ashe appearance is directly inspired from Sylvanas from Warcraft 3 (in fact, the drow ranger is basically the dark ranger version of sylvannas back in dota allstar, in Warcraft 3).
For clarification, because of the event from the warcraft 3 campaign, there is 3 version of sylvanas: one alive where she is called elven ranger, one right after her reanimation where she is basically a warcraft 3 banshee unit, and finally the undead archer version known as dark ranger, which was the base model of the drow ranger in dota allstar/dota2. Drows is a common term for Dark Elves, usually an underground race that are stealthy, agile, deathly and expert in the use of poison.
After that if you look into their kit, Ashe has 2 spell that are alike of sylvanas's kit as a elven ranger : Scout (Summons an owl scout to survey the area) and Cold Arrows (Slows target's movement speed per shot),
whereas the drow ranger from dota all star, took 2 spell from sylvanas elven ranger version and 1 from the dark ranger version : Silence - Stops all enemies in a target area from casting spells. (death sylvanas kit) Cold Arrows (Slows target's movement speed per shot) (alive sylvanas kit) Trueshot Aura (Increases the ranged attack power of nearby units) (alive sylvanas kit)
In term of lore, their story are completely different : Ashe is a queen of the freljord (a region in the north of runeterra), and descendant of the legendary queen Avarosa of the Avarosan tribe, a peaceful, but powerful tribe. Her goal is to unite the different tribes of the freljord under one banner, by diplomacy rather then force. the drow ranger dota all star is a drow(duh!) from the underground land named the Underdark, which she quit because she doesnt feel right with the evil nature of her race, while the one from dota2 isnt even a drow (lol that one kinda felt weird when i found out too), but an orphan human child raised by the drows. she then later decide to live alone in the forest avoiding anyone, because iconically, since she is a human and not a drow, she believe she was kind of ugly, (and maybe is for drow standards, but clearly not for humans (drows in the dota2 universe, are described as short, trollish looking and repulsive).
So outside of the chill effect on auto attack, and if you consider that frost archer isn't really a theme that can just be "ripped of", since its a fairly normal one in fantasy games (like sun warriors, dragon knight, drunken monk, fire/frost mages, etc etc), Ashe and Drow Ranger (it still alienate me that the character used in-game name in dota2 are sometimes their actual name and sometimes their title, i know its due to copyright issues with warcraft/blizzard, still it doesnt feel right) are 2 completely different characters. they just happen to share 1 ability, and have a similar theme. You are not wrong that they share a similar play style, but that simply come from the shared frost archer theme for the slowing people part, while the "work best from a distance" part is basically true for every ranged character in every game, like archers lol.
Personalty, I like Ashe more, she is the first ADC i got to play, as an adc main and, as i explainned, dota2 heroes alienate me a bit.
I was so happy when i read they wanted to finally rework that strange current passive she has (basically rewarding you for not dealing damage for a certain time as a carry role ?) and trying to make it synergies with her Q which already work well with her kit. I think the removal of the gold generation is a fair trade for this, if its a meaningful change. Not sure what other changes are planed, if any, but i think OP suggestion would add something nice to the game. A nice visual effect that would match the one from the other queen of the freljord, Sejuani and Lissandra. If anything, it would just add some additional flavor, and shouldnt be too hard to do (it would just make an ultimate ability feel more like an ultimate ability visually), so i dont really see the harm in it. Hopefully, someone from riot will see this :D.

TL:DR - Ashe and Drow Ranger have the same inspiration source, but thats about it. They are 2 different characters. Looking up for the rework. Having a nice added visual effect would be nice to make her ultimate feel more like an ultimate, but it would take time to make. Hopefully, we can have some insight from a rioter :D?
