does lp gain/loss have any basis in your stats that game?

Does your overall performance in a game have any affect on the lp you get/lose?

Personally I think it should because I don't think it's fair to make someone lose lp with matches being so random as to whether good players are on your team. Like when my top and mid laner have both died before I finished clearing my red camps, but my bot lane wins lane and gets tons of kills, and we lose the game, I think that the bot laners don't deserve to lose the same amount of lp as the mid and top. Or vice versa with any of the lanes/roles. If someone's doing really good but their team is doing bad, do they really deserve to lose as much lp as the rest?

No, lp gains are based purely off MMR, which is only affected by win/loss.

Also not really, all this does is encourage greedy play, as well as the fact that you having a bunch of kills doesn't mean you're actually attempting to help your team, just like having an 0/9 tryndamere splitpushing top bringing 3 people toward him Is infinitely more valuable then a 10/0 lux support who just ignites someone already pretty much dead.

No. It's based off win or lose.

If you go 15/0/5 and lose, you will fall in rank.

If you go 0/15/0 and win, you will climb in rank.

You are only 20% of the team. Unfortunately, this is how the game works. It doesn't matter how hard you try individually, as long as your team is better overall than the enemy team.
