Another Karma Rework Idea (Battle Mage+ Damage Reflection)
Don't read this if you are not familiar with Karma's current kit.
1.Karma biggest issue right now imo is an ambiguous play style. She is like a enchanter+battle mage+mage smash together. Each of her enchanted basic abilities present one of the strongest in each respective class. RQ is one the strongest range burst/control spell. RW is a very strong spell for a sustain damage mage, riot had to nerf it a while back because it gave rise to the tank
madness. RE can give the game's strongest shield if she builds AP+aoe effects+ms.
2.** She cannot be an effective enchanter+battlemage+mage at the same time.** If Karma focuses on one of these role, she gets outclassed in that role. If you build into the damage aspect, focusing on utilizing RQ, you often have to E yourself to reposition ( Q is often inconveniently blocked by minions). And you become too squishy to utilize W effective. If you focus on RW, you end up in the tank Karma route. Karma cannot be a real tank, and tank Karma lacks damage/shielding. If you focus on RE, then you are supporting, which means you are not getting AP. Not enough AP means other enchanters eventual outperform Karma once her base damage become irrelevant.
3.This mini-rework idea focuses on refining Karma's unique role as an enchanter+battle mage hybrid. The goal is making her doing both of these role effective at the same time whether she is soloing lane or supporting, without changing her kit too much.
PASSIVE: unchanged.
Q: Lower damage. Increase damage to non-champion at rank 5. RQ: unchanged.
W: Unchanged. Except enemies rooted become vulnerable , taking 20% more damage from Karma and her shield allies. WR: Unchanged.
E: Unchanged. Except ^ ER: Unchanged.
R: Karma dashes forward, gaining a spell shield during the dash and up till 0.5 second after the dash. The spell shield reflects a single attack (auto attack or ability). Afterwards, Karma's next basic ability is enchanted.
The attacker takes base damage(100/180/250/330)+50% of the blocked damage. If Karma reflected a spell with cc, the cc affect the attacker instead. _This spell shield acts like a hybrid of Fiora's old W and Sivir's E. _ _Shield does not reflect traps and cannot be activated by damage-over-time abilities. _
4.I hope to **kill the long range RQ focus play style **(bursting squishies down by 50% from a mile away). With this kit, Karma would play closer to the front lane like a battle mage (like

). While at the same, have more ways to support allies, especially when playing support bot (W: damage amplifier, R: block cc skill shots).
5.I hope to preserve some of Karma's decision makings and play-style pattern. Like which basic ability should she enchant? When can she get close and when not? Her current play style emphasize turning the table with defensive spells, I hope to amplify that even more.
6.Damage reallocation. Q/RQ base damage is lower, but it is less costly to land a good RQ because she can reposition with the dash. Right now, if she wants to reposition herself, she has to E herself instead of shielding allies. Her W+RQ damage should stay the same or higher due to the added damage amplifier. Her wave clear is already pretty bad, weakening her Q will make it even worse, so she does bonus magic damage to non-champion at rank 5. This won't affect support player because they can choose to lvl up E instead.
7.I feel like damage reflection is an appropriate mechanic for her because her name is karma.
