Ideas to make Neeko's kit more interesting and synergized.

I've seen a few posts talking about Neeko's lack of a core identity, or having a boring kit, etc.. They basically boil down to- her passive isn't very useful and easy to reveal, and her ult feels counter intuitive to a ranged mage. So here are some ideas that might make her more interesting, of course given that her stats are adjusted for balance accordingly (lower ult damage, etc).

  1. Allow Neeko to sustain some hits (maybe 3) without dropping her passive

  2. If Neeko uses W during her ult channel, the ult is passed onto her clone

  3. Using ult while disguised eliminates the channel (honestly setting up the ult is hard enough, esp. without flash)

3 is busted. So to that I would personally say "Hell no!"

1 is something I'd prefer not to happen specifically because of the fact that she already has her clone and another teammate running at you...you should have a chance to win your game of magical hats and deal with her before she reaches you with R going, so I think her passive is in a good spot right now.

2 would be interesting. Though if they did this, it would have to not hit as hard or stun as long as the original. I don't necessarily see this is being completely busted if taken the proper direction...however, they'd end up having to gut some other part of her kit (likely her E) from the amount of sheer zoning and utility this would bring to the table. Imagine knowing you can land a free combo on anyone you wanted because you just swapped the ult to your clone and followed yourself up with a completely free E/Q. I don't hate the idea of her clone using Pop Blossom, but I don't see an easy way to balance that without gutting the rest of her kit and making her feel like a more aggressive, heavier CC version of Lux/Morgana support.

I love #2, but her ult is extremely overpowered and is kept in check by the fact that its hard to hit and puts her in extreme danger. So this can’t get implemented unless she gets heavy nerfs to her ult first.

Personally i think they should remove either the stun or the damage and then implement your #2 idea, so it becomes a bomb if you combine it with another ability. (Like D.Va from overwatch.)

This would make her both more satisfying to play and to play against (because if you get hit by her ult as a squishy carry you’re 100% dead, and nobody likes that.)
