Please explain Vlad's weaknesses

Maybe it was just the entire game that set this mood of hopelessness because top and mid were pushed in to the base by 8-10 mins in, and I lost one tower in mid while trying to figure out wtf the point is of using your mana to damage a Vlad.

I couldn't even be salty about it. I was like like f it and my never surrender attitude for this one because this is just stupid. I seriously landed EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY E POKES with Lux. I start magic pen/scaling mana regen/AP runes... with thunder lords...

I've destroyed Vlads in the top lane with Susan plenty of times before... They can't stop the farm and wither lasts longer than his blood pool and when he reemerges he's still slow af fuck... q,q dead

With Lux... Like I said, every e landed and he would just steal life back from me or minions.

I really don't get it. His resource bar to me looks like some sort of rage meter (i have never played him I have no clue how it work or what type of resource it actually is)

Is there any point to wasting your mana poking him? Seems it would be better used farming minions.

If you land a q, he's a pool of blood while he's locked in place making your ult whizz right by him harmlessly.

I'm just tired of people saying this game is balanced. When I lane a against a Kat (for those of you that think its balanced for lat to have no manageable resource) they only leave their tower to throw the knife q and run back.

they wait until you're out of mana and have no way to cast abilities then all in on a gank.

I dont understand why some people have no respect for using skill and landing SHOTS, not auto abilities/spells that find the target for you, and yet those champions have to manage a resource pool while having the capability to miss.

Vlad has pretty low damage early on with decent CDs. His Q CD is like 8 seconds at level 1.

The general idea is to let him Q and when he goes in to Q you will E + auto him. You should generally win trades. If he does that move where he pulls in blood and starts moving slowly you want to get behind minions because they can (usually) body block it. It's like 20 different particles going around him in all directions that get body blocked by the first thing they hit.

When his red bar is all the way up though DO NOT try trade with him. He has extra move speed and more damage/healing on his Q. Again, wait for him to use it because he has a very limited time on this bonus and then begin trading with him again.

When all inning him though you need to be careful, especially because Lux's primary source of burst is negated by his pool of blood. If your jungler is ganking, for example, place an E on him but also blocking his path so that he eats a nice long movespeed slow so that your jungler can easily catch up to him. Then, when he pools, run up and QR him once he gets out. It lasts about 2 seconds.

Vlad is relatively slow and heavily prone to kiting without ghost. A lot of the matchup is to bait out his e before you trade and get him to burn his pool before you ult. His "resource bar" happens after he casts his q twice(the heal). It makes his q do 100% more dmg and healing if cast before the bar goes away. Using lux, I'd simply recommend morellos rush.

His bar is really important. When it's full and red you have to back off. His q will heal him for a lot if he hits you with it. If I play vlad and they don't back off and I continuously get the crimson rush Q's then lane is mine pretty easily.

you should play an all in champion, he can be easily killed early-mid game

you won't win the sustain and extended fight battles. you also won't win the poke battles.

ignore him. unless he engages on you. just ignore him. dont chase him and don't gank him after he finishes an item or two.
