I think it's time for me to take a break from League.

I've played League of Legends for my entire adolescent life (S4) and I'm very sad to say I'm done with this game, at least until my main gets reworked, or the pace of this game turns down a notch, I've had my patience at times but this is where I draw the line. This game has caused all sorts of havoc and it only seems to get worse. I used to be really skilled with my main in ranked and I could take him basically anywhere and up until this pre-season he's not even viable anymore, which makes me really sad. I've spent thousands of hours playing this (Kennen) and I enjoyed every moment of it, I swear I can't even go a month without playing him once and feeling like I did something to help my team, now it just feels irrelevant.

Last game I just had a Jayce tower dive me with full health when there were no minions and I couldn't do jack because he has point and click abilities that do 80% of your health with one item item 3134 . The game before that I tried poking this Nasus out of my lane but he started a Corruption Potion and combining that with his built in lifesteal, he doesn't take any damage! Like what is the point of playing this anymore. Kennen has no soft cc to prevent a tank from just walking up to you and shitting on you under your own tower. And now with tenacity now being a thing, his stun is barely even worth the hassle of stacking your W.

Enough chat, I've said enough. Until games become 40 minutes long again, turrets don't become weak after 5 minutes, tanks don't have infinite stacking health, adcs not rushing a 2600 item just for the RNG crits, point and click champions not diving your turret with ease, and every champion being useful somewhere, I'm taking a break from this game. I'm turning 18 in 12 days and I've actually got a future ahead of me. This game has turned from a really fun hobby into an obsessive nightmare and I think it's time for me to stop playing. May I remind you people, this is not a click bait, people who have supported riot over the years have actually quit for the very same reason which is the turn in balance, I have friends in real life who have quit this game and have told me the very same thing I'm telling you right now. I'm not actually quitting, but I am here when things should get better, but right now I'm done. Riot you've made an amazing game, I think you just need to rethink it over, this isn't a good riddance, more like a farewell.

Games are never going back to being long ones. Riot is not opposed to long games but they're not making them long by default. The reason why they changed it years ago was because people were complaining they lasted too long in the first place, with no clear winner in mind.

The average length of an SR game should be 30+ and ARAM games 20+. That means the games should wrap up in the average time per map, most of the games played should fall in this range on the Bell Curve while shorter and longer games are not that common (but not impossible).
