Just saying, you can have 277 Armor, but his kegs ignore 60% of it.

Which is kinda stupid on such a huge damage ability, hence why.

Anomander1 votes

Don't forget 6% from masteries and prolly 30 % from last whisper and if he had a black cleaver(not likely) he could have over 100%.

You're making me highly doubt your mathematical skills right now.

Anomander1 votes

Actually a full crit GP with a last whisper could do it.item 3078 item 3031 item 3035 item 3072 item 3158 item 3142

This build will deal true damage on barrels.

LaceUp233 votes

3,000 true damage? Doubtful.

So Gp has a base AD of 107 at lvl 18 item 3078 with give a bonus of 200% to base so 321item 3031 item 3072 item 3035 item 3142 plus the bonus 200 damage on the skill add up to 796 with a rune set of 15 ad . This is not counting masteries. ON a crit if it dealt true damage would be 1990. While 70% was probably a exaggeration it wasn't by much.

Now lets add masteries. 14 base ad to 810 the 5% bonas ad adds 19.8 so 829.8 so that is 2072.5 then you get a another 5% from masteries for another 103.6 total damage is 2176.1 true damage in a aoe.

So still not 3k however with any other modifiers like say a vlad ult. Or if you can actually get negative armor and deal more then true damage(not sure how this is calculated so didn't include it) It might very well be possible.

This build is 96% armor pen if you have the masteries. 96% of 277 is 265 leaving 11.08 armor. item 3142 is 20 flat pen putting a person at -9 armor.

All this and I forgot to add the parley damage....... lucky me that is easy at 300 on a crit so 2476.1 total damage.

Sheen procs are not boosted by critical strikes.

Not sure if the bonus damage on powder keg benefits from crits either. Math is way off anyways.

From lol wiki "Spellblade is a unique passive. If using Iceborn Gauntlet item.png Iceborn Gauntlet and Trinity Force, the next basic attack will deal 200% base AD bonus physical damage to your primary target, 125% base AD bonus physical damage to surrounding enemies and creates the slow field. If using Iceborn Gauntlet item.png Iceborn Gauntlet and Lich Bane item.png Lich Bane, the next basic attack will deal Lich Bane item.png Lich Bane's magic damage and creates the slow field. Lich Bane item.png Lich Bane's proc will always take priority over Trinity Force if both are present in a champion's inventory. ◾ Using multiple abilities in succession does not result in stacking Spellblade's bonus damage,** and the bonus damage is calculated before a critical strike. **◾ Spellblade procs Lifesteal. It does not proc Spell Vamp, however. ◾ The cooldown starts after the proc is consumed (after the attack) not after the spell is activated."

The key part is **"and the bonus damage is calculated before a critical strike."

Which is exactly what I did. **

The wiki is worded poorly. Spellblade's damage is added to the triggering attack as bonus damage (does not crit), not in addition to the total that does crit. Otherwise, ADCs that could utilize Trinity Force would be pretty broken and/or there'd be a lot more complaints about RNG.

Edit: This is the correct calculation to my knowledge.

107 base ad at level 18 - This is all the damage Spellblade cares about. It does not take bonus ad into account) 260 bonus ad items (using what you posted: Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Bloodthirster, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Trinity Force) 396 AD - (107 base + 29 rune/mastery + 260 items) 441~ AD - after 11% from Dragon and Mastery (Dragon is 6% and applies to all ad, the mastery 5% only applies to bonus ad, so this value is probably less.)

300 Parrley crit (120*2.5=300 damage assuming parrley's bonus damage still benefits from crit strike damage) 200 barrel bonus damage (r5, unknown if the champion bonus damage is multiplied by crits, doubt it.) 214 spellblade (200% of BASE ad, which is basically fixed the whole game and never changes except on leveling) 1102~ total ad critical strike (441 * 2.5 crit from IE)

1816~ damage if barrel damage doesn't benefit from critical strikes 2116~ if barrel damage does benefit from critical strikes (both are before defense applies) 1871~/2179~ or so with 21-x-x mastery spread due to 3% bonus (afaik applies to damage done, not the stats itself.) This value is close, but not 100% accurate. Note Parrrley and Barrel's bonus damage IS NOT AD (and in no way benefits from any bonuses to AD), but rather bonus damage (that can crit in Parrrley's case, may be able to crit in Barrel's)

Still, requires a bit of setup to do and that's super late game.

Wouldn't Parlay also crit? Or no?

LaceUp231 votes

Your numbers are inaccurate, as shown by others so I'm not going to get into that. What I will say is that the 2176 damage number that others provided, which is close to your number, still isn't 70%. It's about 52%.

Basically, there is STILL about a 27% error. Sorry my friend, but you would probably get a negative grade on your chemistry lab report for a 27% error.

Durzaka1 votes

That still requires him to get a god damn 3k true damage attack. Which isnt happening. 440 from Parrley Crit and Barrel damage means he would need 2560 crit from his AA.

Addressed this above.

So basically, tanks are not going to be in the meta for a while.

the meta is already shifting towards dmg, but it will get amplified drastically with this. For worlds the meta will feature mainly assassins vs adcs yet again...

Really defensive Tanks... probably not. Bruisers and very offensive Tanks got some new shiny items however.

Considering how hard it is to get a barrel combo I think it is fair. Keep in mind that with a last whisper and masterys he will be at 96% armor pen plus any flat pen so YEAH!.

NEeding to practice=/=hard

Considering all the counter play that the barrels offers no matter how hard you practice won't make it EASY just easier.
