It's not like there is a set criteria for bronze. Oh you bought a pink ward to counter build, you belong in silver suddenly.

They are where they are due to MMR. It doesn't take really any skill to deduce you could spend 75g to counter a champion in a fight. Pink wards are cool until you have 88 CS at 25 minutes and are making poor plays.

its just that bronze people just have bad choices and bad mechanics thats all
