I don't think allies will be able to dash from a long distance across the map to rooted target, but can you imagine if they could tho? That would be the most craziest thing in league of legends. Free teleports all day long. The range on the dash cant be that big honestly. Probably nothing to worry about.
His damage is nothing to worry about unless he has his ultimate up and you're in a bush with him which increases his damage.
