How Do I Know...

If I've improved at this game? And if I have improved and feel like I'm not yet where I should be, how do I continue to improve even after all the games I've played?

I guess your Rank is one indicator. I guess play more games but focus your practice?

Mechanically I suck at this game, but I think my knowledge is decent. Do some trivia or try some theory crafting or something and see how people respond to it.

I don't know if rank is a good indicator this season. Yeah, the past 2 seasons I've been silver, but tbh I could've hit gold last season if I actually spammed ranks. This season I'm just sitting where, or sort of where, I should have been last season. I thought I could hit plat this season but I fell short and right now I can't undo the mistakes of the losses I had falling form Gold 1 to Gold 2. I'm MMR dropped drastically and now I feel like I've hit a wall.

So what exactly should I focus my practice on? I think I'm fairly good at csing now... should I just focus on trading? Teamfighting? Playing aggressive to actually learn limits of my champs?

To answer your questions: Yes to all of the above.

well getting to gold2 is impressive some might say. other might say because of this seasons rank system it dont matter. however there is still lots of area to improve. looks like you play top/jungle mainly. you could always expand to other roles. champs. you can always learn about the the more complex concepts of league as a game in general. such as rotations, objective controls. league is a very multilevel game. i mean if you really wanted to you could improve from gold 2 to #1 challenger player NA.

but most likely ill get discredit and my statement deemed invalid cuz im not ranked or low ranked.

Unfortunately I don't main any role and that could be one of my biggest downfall. The up side is I can do DECENTLY well in almost any role with a select few champs and that could be one of the things that's either hindering my gameplay, or that got me where I am now. On that note, no one cares whether you're unranked or not, advice is advice and good advice is still good advice even if it comes from Hitler himself.

And yes, I could potentially improve from Gold 2 to #1 Challenger... the real question is, how do I do that? How do I know if I'm not already doing that? People tell me to watch the pros and watch how they do things. Well, I do watch them and sometimes I feel like I'm doing nothing different from what they're doing, however, there's still something missing and I just can't tell what it is.

I suggest watching pro-player gameplay videos on champs that you want to learn about; a good Youtube Channel is Tekk, which covers a variety of players and champs. Even if you watch leisurely, there are always things to be learned from them - usually small things, but they are improvements nonetheless.
