Can we keep Taric as a support?

With the news of the Targon champions getting attention, it seems possible that the Taric rework will be hitting in the near future. All I ask is that when they do reveal Taric's new design is that they keep his role as a support. A lot of reworks like Graves, Mordekaiser, and Poppy heavily changed the champion's role, and some supports like Tahm Kench or Lulu became so strong that they became overly dominant solo laners. I just want Taric to have a kit that makes him want to be in a duo lane.

Last I read, he will remain a Support, but nothing will stop him from going elsewhere.

People will play him where they may riotreptar said that he feels the same so that leaves it open ended people as of now play him jungle and top so we will see how it pans out he will keep a heal so that good enought to a be a support to me

They'll probably make his rework weird and clunky like the shen update. I've seen Taric Top laners and Junglers that have been wrecking with iceborn lately. I think his update is going to be more about ripping his point and click skills out of the game and implementing ANYTHING to get it out door ASAP to move onto champions that are actually played a lot.

He's more viable as a toplaner than he is as a support anyway.

Pretty sure the rework is going to pigeonhole him into the support role, this is what the support reworks so far have done to the champions.
