Runes so expensive?
They used to be super cheap. Like 35 ip or 100. Now they are like 400-1000. Anyone know why?

No clue. Runes right now are all screwed up. There are only a few good ones and some are useless as HELL.
Probably just a gold-sink. I hate the run system. The numbers seem arbitrary and I haven't seen a great reason to get the scales-with-level option unless that rune type has no flat options for you.
The runes should, imo, all be utlity. Gold buffs, CDR, MS, and resistances. They could use runes to counter the insane creep-issues they have like mobility creep, or the absurd amount of knock-up (can we get a reduction in that?) but instead we get armor and Magic Pen. Who cares?
