Skins should show in new HUD update.
Isn't it weird that skins don't show in the HUD currently? Make that a possiblity for this new update. We spend RP on skins so they should show on the champion icon.

no some people might not recognize it from the thumb nail and would cause a lot of issues like not knowing what champion is in that part of the map from just glancing at the minimap
It interferes with clarity. You can confuse champions because of different splash arts.
Previously stated reasons are valid, but to add to that if you look at the game files, the square shaped icons only are made for the classic skins. For them to include the skins as icons with the new HUD they'd have to go through all their skins and make square shaped icons for them too (which is kinda a waste of time/resources imo)
