Where does Ivern (the new champion) play?

Not if you take Smite support. His shield has a low enough cd and his Q gives his teamates enough kill pressure that not taking ignite/Exhaust isn't terrible for him. It also lets him get an early level 2, especially if he steals the enemy buff with Passive > Smite while they are doing their first camp/on the other side of the map. He can basically go deny everything in the enemy jg if they see them top lane or something, so he gets a ton of exp and hard denies the enemy jg. He can also quickly and easily take scuttle for vision at any time, as well as giving the ability to contest Drag without your jgler.

Definitely niche but a legitimate strategy.
