Does Yasuo have any cons??

How do you counter him? If you try to poke, his shield activates. If your abilities are slow, He'll block them with wind shield. Get close and he'll whirlwind and ult you. How do you counter yasuo???

Being bursted with CC, CC in general, or high mobility and damage

He is melee.

On a more serious note bruisers and designated duelists make him look like a little joke.

Auto attack him to break his shield before wasting mana to try and poke him. Let him push you under turret like all yasuos love doing, then call for tank assistance. Dodge his tornado thing so he wont have an ultimate. Bring exhaust and dare him to try and all-in on you. Drop tibbers on his big ass forehead. Just a few ways I can think of atm, best of luck!

His W has a very long CD. Get him to burn it, than poke him or fight him.

yea tons

he's super squishy - clearly not having a free shield with no drawbacks and easy ridiculous amounts of lifesteal whether in masteries or build

he's easy to outplay - obviously not one of the most mobile champs in the entire game, dashing around dodging every skillshot, throwing up windwall which is SUPER easy to bait out cus he doesn't just keep dashing around after or playing safe til it's back up, or worse getting in your face and destroying your lifebar while it is up.

he's easy to catch with cc - can't just dash thru 3 teammates, windwall, and murder the squishy before you can even land cc, or hit your whole team with his far superior cc first, much less if his teammate has a single displacement

he's "weak" during laning phase - certainly not strong vs most top laners, and decent to neutral to most mid and even his own counters. and definitely doesn't get retarded fed easily as hell even if he gets completely shit on in lane, just because yasuo.

his kit isn't stupid overloaded - just has everything he could possibly need and far more packed neatly into a nice resourceless piece of shit toxic champ

this is what all the yasuo mains will have you believe, so it must be true... don't worry though, he's super fun to play against and have on your own team. and most certainly doesn't drain the fun out of every single match, for every player, whether he's fed or feeds.

If you're ranged or your abilities are ranged, pressure him.

His windwall is at around 20 seconds and unless he maxes it first, it will STILL be small until like level 14 or so.

After he pops his windwall, try to poke him and harass him, he has two choices, either he goes all in in hopes to stop your burst or he backs off, missing CS.

His shield and Windwall have a cooldown.

Windwall has 26 seconds cooldown until leveled up, which doesn't happen for more than half of the game.

His Flow shield has a "cooldown" of 17 seconds until level 7, 15 seconds until level 13 and 13 seconds after. Each tier of boots he gets, lowers each of those cooldowns by almost 1 second.

Countering Yasuo requires from you to stop being a scaredy-cat and going aggressive on his sorry ass.

For example if you are ranged, you basic attack him once.

  1. If he uses Windwall, you wait, then attack him again, wait another second for the shield to disappear and unload onto him.

  2. If he doesn't use Windwall, you just keep auto'ing him, being careful about minion aggro. He will either try to stop you poking him, at which point you punish him with your spells as he's dashing (he can't use Windwall then) or he moves away to regenerate his shield away from you.

Those are basics, everything else depends on your champion.

The largest down-side to playing Yasuo (the ONLY downside, some would say), is that everyone will hate you for playing Yasuo. Being a Yasuo player is social suicide... he's like the Nickelback of League champs. Prepare to be judged if you mention you enjoy playing him.

yes. lots.

you have to sit under turret and hope the other lanes win. and obviously lose half your cs. because how dare you step up to cs. you will take half your health in damage before level 6 and potentially die after level 6.

even. when your winning against the yasuo in kills. you can't farm freely in lane. he has lane control against 90% of his lane opponent because of how freakin oppressive in lane he is.

I'm saying that he does too much damage

Can't stay near those minions or my teammates man. Kha'zix is the definition of a healthy assassin, he relies on your mistakes to deal maximum damage.

Because you never happen to just not stay near a minion -_-

So I thought it was a good idea to fight kha'zix when he would be dealing the most damage to me...

yasuo cons- lose friends

Tychusfindlay9192 votes

An ideal world, yasuo struggles against bruisers, especially bruisers with no projectiles and enough cc and damage to duel him.

Darius, nasus, garen, etc.

In a world with battle of fervor allowing yasuo to go frozen mallet without sacrificing too much damage, it becomes harder to list his cons since he can even beat his traditional counters head on.

CerealBoxOfDoom2 votes

yasuo has many cons, some are obvious, some are not.

Are you really interested in defeating yasuo or would you rather just bullshit and cry yourself to sleep, because from the looks of the OP that's all this really is.

His mobillity is predictable and conditional, so is his CC. If you keep track of the minions, you can keep track of his potential movements. His dash is compareable slow, has a fixed distance and an easy to predict direction thx to beeing enemy-target only, so it's not so hard to either avoid the point he will get to or aim skillshots in his path. Also, any hard cc stops the dash (other dashes reach their end point while stunned/snared mid air). This makes it quite easy as frontline to stop him in teamfights if you don't waste your cc. It's not that hard to keep track of his Qs and know when the 3ed is up(it even makes a clear sound+vfx), though it could certainly get the duration lowered, 10 sec is quite a bit much. non the less, it is possible to stay somewhat clear of minions at that time to avoid E+Q, and the longranged Q isn't that hard to dodge, esepcially since you know it's comming. He also is quite squishy unless you blow your burst into his passive and or windwall(which certainly could use some tweaks). And there are quite some champs that can just out stat him, especially earlygame, and have not much(if any) projektiles or skillshots that he migh outplay.

Mostly, he is countered by proper teamplay. It's rather easy to pop his passive and lock him down as frontline, and it's not hard to just delete him as backline once he's locked down, especially if your carries spread out some so they won't get hit by the same knockup, which means one will be able to hammer away on yas duering his ult animation if he goes for it.

The main issue is if he has a reliable knockup(like malph) in his team that allows him to easily assasinate the backline, and that he can get alot early pressure just from how easy he clears minions even early on. There are few champs that cna match his pushing power, especially in the first ~3 levels. Also, if going full crit, the fact that one knockup petty much means any squishy dies befor the cc is over in the late is quite irritateing for someone who's not meant to be a true assasin.

You just have to outplay him. Like Ekko, Yasuo is designed to not have a clear weakness. Play champs that aren't easily outplayed and/or punish mistakes easily.
