@Riot what happened to role diversity?

Awhile ago you guys released a video talking about how you would be looking at opening more roles for champions was this scrapped? I haven't heard anything about for a while and it has seemed like you guys are forcing more and more champions into only being viable in a single role. I know a rioter also made a comment on reddit about this mentioning champions like nidalee,graves,and I think trist. Can anyone comment on this? For nidalee I know there was alot of talk about getting her back into top/mid and I was really looking forward to playing her in lane again viably but it doesn't look like there has been any progress on these changes at all.

I personally dont what role diversity in league and I think riot tried to with the adc changes but they fucked it up and instead of keeping what worked they basically reverted all of it and dont what too change anything else since people were complaining about it so I think they just give up on role diversity well thats what I think happened.
