AFKs

Every once in a while, you get an AFK, and this is pretty damn annoying, especially when your ahead, or are in lategame. So, my last game, we were winning by quite a bit, not saying they didn't have a chance, but we were definitely ahead. So, our Garen, who at that moment was our 2nd best player, throws out a surrender vote, then AFKs. It was a 4v5, it was only mid-game, and we still had our Uber-Fed Veigar, and maybe Garen just had connection problems. We can pull through, I thought. Well, that is until our Aatrox, our 3rd best player thought it was a smart idea to take a shower in the middle of the game. So now we had 2 AFKs, and we were going into late game. Darn. We were playing pretty defensive, and the opposing team gained a big advantage over us in objectives. Our Aatrox came back, and we did manage to pick it up a bit, taking out one of their inhibitors. After losing a fight at Baron due to a lack of tanks, they aced us (kinda), and destroyed our nexus. I know AFKs are gonna be a permanent part of any team-based game, but I hate seeing losses like this go into the books. When your team has 1 or more AFKs on your team and you lose, why isn't the loss prevented? I mean, it's only fair.

Cause you would have to also have a Win Prevented. How annoying to have 30 mins and a guaranteed win taken from you cause the other teams Top DC's 25 mins into the match. This would also have to happen to prevent the LP inflation because you would have people getting LP gains with no counter acting losses. Over time, it would cause people to gain way more LP than they would lose and destroy the tiers.

Ultimately, you have to trust in the statistical fact that the other team has a higher chance of getting the DC, so over time, they even out.
