Champions that are broken because they have a ton of hidden power like Sona does right now take a while to get to a high banrate.
bestbans.com is such a good website to see what you really should be banning to maximize your winrate, provided that you don't think that your team members will pick the champion that you plan on banning or your team will make it difficult for that champion to find success.

people don't ban a champion a lot until 2-3 patches after they see the winrate. its dumb. why. because well most of ranked players now are casual and dont give a fuck and they just follow whatever brofresco or redmercy upload in the videos a week later or so.
ekko banrate was still like 70% way after he got nerfed and his wr was like 48%. because people are morons.
Spread the word. Sona is the one must-ban this patch.
