Emmm... What is the kind of counterplay the reworked assassins have that I cant see? 
do the exact same job of oneshotting the adc, with the notable exception of katarina which has some counterplay. Why was the rework even occurred If it created more problems than it solved?

Created more problems then it created....that sir seems like a paradox!
Fed stealth assassins like Rengar/Talon/Shaco are really the only true no-counterplay assassins for an ADC, and thats just because they can literally 1-shot them out of stealth
