Here are 2 links to the boards : http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/79aGu3wR-support-singed-isnt-banable-but-thats-not-the-point and this : http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/FrILlWp7-14-day-ban-because-playing-nunu-support-with-smite-is-stealing-other-peoples- . First of all I want to make things clear: Riot responded that going off-meta isn't bannable, **not communicating with the team is. The problem is, **these guys were banned -according to riot- because they created negative experience to their teammates. I'm not sure if this is in the report categories, but they thing is that everyone should feel free to play anything they want without the risk of getting banned Riot has really messed up wth these bans... So what do you guys believe that should happen?

Let me ask you this then: Why didn't the players in question search for players to queue with beforehand? That has always been an option, and it is completely rule conform. Instead the players in question tried to cut it short by using the "grey zone" of the rules and got punished for it.

I don't think even the staunchest Riot defenders who regularly post here could justify that ban.

Here is another question: how many people would instantly tilt when they saw their support lock in smite nunu in their promo?

I ain't gonna form an opinion until I know both sides of the story, but that player would not have been flagged for manual review if players had not reported him.

Riot are flat out %%%%s assholes these days.

Pretty sure they used to advertise with something like "Games made by gamers"... but now it just seems like they are ran by office nerds who are all low elo fresh out of college.

This has been resolved for months now.

I think the real question is, did the support let the team know what he wanted to do and was his team okay with it?

quote from the nunu players post: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/FrILlWp7-14-day-ban-because-playing-nunu-support-with-smite-is-stealing-other-peoples-

the data shows that while my bot lane does tend to do worse than the enemy bot lane playing most of the games 1v2, they're on average only 5% behind on gold but the enemy jungler is 6% behind. My bot lanes also get solo experience, and my other solo lanes tend to overperform because their lane opponents have to defend against constant invades and they get ganked way less than they would under traditional play.

this pretty much proves that he knows he is leaveing the ADC to fend for themselves and never really in bot lane unless its to gank.

the other problem in both these cases is they confuse "i copy/pasted a paragraph long explanation at the beginning of every champion select." with "communication".

communication meens you have talked over your tactic with your team and they have approved of it.

what they did was just plaster something on the wall and expect it to be so (most likely sense they got reported for it alot) with their teammates disagreeing with said tactic.

it would be like if i queue "mid", first thing i do when i join lobby is post that im going 2 top and then start defending it with "look how well the top is doing haveing alot more vision/ got first tower and how much exp/gold the jungler gets for covering mid for me".

it's a complete and utter nonsense way to try and justify this kind of behavior...
