Give Twitch's Q Some Love

All right, I know that I'm late to the party on this one, but I've played Twitch for a while, and I feel like after the assassin-stealth rework, his stealth, and the champion in general, is just not very good.

I've been trying on and off for several months now to try and figure this guy out again, and I'm really starting to get frustrated. If you don't know, his q used to be a stealth that would completely hide you regardless of nearby enemies. However, now it only hides you from enemies outside of a certain radius. That seemed fair enough to me at the time; I always thought that his stealth felt like a bit much, especially considering that his W got a moderate buff in return for the stealth nerf. However, upon playing him, I found out that the detection radius was rather large, literally almost half the lane, making it extremely difficult to maneuver around enemies when stealthed. I used to play Twitch a bit like a high-damage assassin: I would try to sneak flank the enemy frontline and surprise their backline with a large burst of damage from an unexpected angle. However, this became very difficult following the changes, as there usually just isn't enough room to move around the enemy team to flank without getting detected.

I tried changing up my playstyle so that I used my stealth more as a utility for traveling around the map, but this still leaves the ability nearly useless in lane and in jungle fights. In fact, I've found that the ability isn't all that useful for moving around the map either, because most of the time you end up traveling through tight jungle paths that are quite a lot smaller than your detection radius. You're not Rengar or Evelynn. You can't just take on or run away from whatever comes at you. Also, when trying to travel through the jungle you'll usually end up running around near brush as well, from which enemy players will be able to see you while you have no indication that they're there, making you only slightly better at moving around than most adcs. Essentially, the only thing your q makes you really good at right now is avoiding wards, which still comes down a lot to luck and guesswork anyways.

I've tried leveraging the buffs to his W in lane, throwing it out more often and trying to use it like a Miss Fortune E to create opportunities for poking enemies, but it costs a lot of mana, and early on Twitch simply doesn't seem to have the damage to exploit those opportunities very effectively. I can't even follow up my W with my E very well, because the combo costs well over a third of your mana early on.

My solution to all of this would be to significantly reduce his detection radius. This would let the Lee Sins and Rivens still be able to whale on him once they catch him out, which Riot seems to want, but also free Twitch up to move around the map a bit more freely.

So, that's about it. After playing him for several months following the rework I really think that something needs to be buffed. Am I missing something here? Is there some memo about how to play Twitch that I missed? Please tell me if you've figured out how to play this guy effectively after the rework.
