Singed Rework Idea

So, Singed is considered by a large part of the community to be a pretty dull champion to play, and I really have to agree. As Singed, your job comes down to "run between enemies in a teamfight and occasionally throw their carries around." Unfortunately, Singed's identity is somewhat defined by this playstyle, so changing Singed could be tough without changing his identity. So, this is my idea of how Singed's kit could be reworked to make him more exciting without changing his identity.

Passive: Poison Trail Singed leaves behind a trail of deadly fumes that do magic damage to enemies (scales with AP and level).

Passive explanation: This ability is pretty straightforward. It's what defines Singed. Currently , Singed can keep his poison trail on for far longer than he will ever need it by the time mid or late game rolls around, so it might as well be his passive. It would have to be made weaker than it is now in early game so that he can't just get tons of free farm, but its damage should scale up to something akin to its current damage for mid and late game.

Q: Hypergolics Active: Singed ignites his Poison Trail, dealing magic damage to all enemies within it. Singed is momentarily slowed upon activation, and Poison Trail is disabled for a few seconds after use. (Damage scales with AP and ability level. Destroys Singed's poison trail on use).

Insanity Potion Effect: Coats the ground below the detonated Poison Trail with Mega Adhesive, which slows enemies. (Slow percentage scales with Insanity Potion's level).

Q explanation: This is the ability that originally inspired this post. Laying down a poison trail across a teamfight and then blowing it up would just feel so satisfying. Obviously, the damage that it does would have to be tuned so that it's actually more profitable to blow the trail up than to leave it there and do DOT, but not too profitable so that there are scenarios where you don't want to detonate it.

W: Empowered Bulwark Passive: Singed gains bonus max health equal to a percent of his bonus mana (percentage scales with ability level).

Active: For a few seconds, Singed gains a shield equal to a percent of his maximum mana (percentage scales with ability level) and is healed for a percentage of the damage dealt by Poison Trail for same amount of time (Healing percent scales with ability level and AP. Heavily reduced healing against minions).

Insanity Potion effect: All healing from Empowered Bulwark is also added to his shield while it remains unbroken. If the shield is not broken before its duration ends, Singed heals for an amount equal to his remaining shield. (Percentage damage converted into shield increases with Insanity Potion's level)

W Explanation: One of the smaller things that defined Singed was Empowered Bulwark's mana scaling. So, the passive effect is just a move of Singed's old passive to a new place. However, Singed feels like he should have a heal. He really feels like he should have a heal. He drinks chemicals to increase his own strength. If that's not heal-esque then I don't know what is. So, this would be his heal as well as a quick damage blocker.

E: Fling Singed flings an enemy behind him, dealing magic damage. (Damage scales with ability level and AP)

Insanity Potion Effect: Fling gains vastly reduced cooldown. The direction of Fling is adjusted to aim towards the nearest patch of Mega Adhesive. If the target lands in Mega Adhesive, they will be rooted. (Root duration scales with Insanity Potion's level).

E Explanation: Essentially the same ability as Singed has now. This was the other ability that really gave him his identity. The "aiming" mechanic is really something that he should have anyways, I think, to make things a bit less infuriating trying to land that root. The reduced cooldown bit should make Insanity Potion feel more insane, with Singed throwing enemies all over the place.

R: Insanity Potion: Singed gains increased combat stats, and his abilities have new effects. (Duration and stats would increase with level, but max duration would be much lower than it is now).

R Explanation: Would grant the same stats that it does now, but for a shorted duration to compensate for its increased power created by granting new ability effects.

So, that's my idea for a Singed rework. If you have any thoughts about this idea or your own rework ideas, please post them.

Singed couldn't attack turrets if poison trail was passive, that's the problem.

the problem with singed. is that hes an old champion. and now almost every champion has some sort of a slow. i have such a low winrate with him. as much as i try. you can't run around enemies with low health because you die instantly. and if you go tank the poison does no damage. and they'd have to be idiots to die to you tbh.

I would scrap passive, w and r and balance numbers for q and e.

Ehhh... His whole "HP scaling with mana" thing is one of the biggest issues, there's no real need to keep it in any form. Like, I'm pretty sure there's vague plans to eventually give Singed an actual passive and scrap the old one, probably upping his base health. He'll be even less mana-hungry if the poison is his passive, so there's really no point to building mana on him with this. I'd argue his HP scaling with mana wasn't a thing that defined him, it was just... There.
