Sudden death in Nexus Blitz.

Quoted from a comment I just wrote, but I think this deserves its own thread just because of how much it ruins the mode in my opinion.

"The sudden death is the worse idea they could possibly implement.

Nothing is more frustrating and completely takes away from the experience of being in the middle of a comeback, aceing their team and while your team is all half hp killing their nexus the event pops up, you cannot kill the original nexus because now it is invincible and you have to chase the full health one, the enemy team spawns (full hp, mana, bought items) and kills yours and proceeds to win.

I was sincerely having fun with the mode until that happened, and now I really don't wanna go anywhere near it for at least a week. I think it is one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with league of legends, basically a massive "Screw you" to the face. My whole team was cursing at Riot at that moment and honestly I cannot bring myself to disagree with them."

To be clear, I have also been on the receiving end of a free win via this event.

It is extremely anticlimatic, takes away most of the satisfaction from the victory because it feels as it was just handed to you and from the losing side it completely and immediately sets you on a massive tilt fueled by a combination of frustration, anger, helplessness and disbelief. Or at least that happened both to the enemy team when it granted our team victory judging by the colorful things they had to say in chat and to our team when it completely screwed over an incredible comeback after a series of fantastic plays while being against the ropes. It was so bad that it actually was a healthy thing, as I immediately closed down the computer and went outside. Completely ruined the experience, even if the other games were so fun the mere fact of that happening automatically made the whole session feel bad.

The new game mode is really fun, honestly, its refreshing and with some polish it can be a very fun and worthwhile addition to League, but if players are driven off the game mode, this can be one of the biggest reasons why.

Thank you or reading.

Sudden Death is the worst mechanic possible. If your team is winning by the time it happens, what 18 minutes? You automatically lose. I've played far too many games of Blitz, and every game we are stomping we end losing. Our wave shoves to their base constantly, but when Blitz happens, our Nexus runs it down without stopping to their base and dies to them. Rather than the Nexus's walking around randomly or meeting in the middle, the team who's wave most shoved in wins because their nexus is still in their base, and yours is deep in their base.

I for one actually like the Sudden Death mechanic. From my experiences I've either seen teams spam ping the walking Nexus and have no idea what to do until someone says "kill to win" or it stops players from "playing with their food" as much as they can before the Nexus goes down.

With the latter being said, it makes me wonder if the post is made because of that aspect in which enforces the game to end. If you know you can end, end it. It's yours and the team's fault if the sudden death initiates and all hell breaks loose to the point you lose. I don't think it anticlimactic...in fact I see it opposite cause it always causes a bloodbath to win.

It needs 2 things, a Juggernaut treatment where both teams res, and they need to stop at the river.

i think that they just need to add that when that event start the dead champions came back to life soo the team can have a last 5vs5 action

Its so frustrating. You are winning and suddenly your own Nexus is running it down mid. Comebacks feel really good in this gamemode but after loosing to this bs I dont think I will play this mode again.

I don't mind the sudden death. If only it wasn't at 17-19 minutes in... It just feels like the game is getting good and than riot says ok times up you had your fun next game. I understand that some teams get smashed and it's no fun playing a long game but when it's an even match and sudden death comes up after only one or two turrets fall. Its so lame. Especially if the other team happens to be way more team fighty. I'd be happy if it was pushed back to maybe 22-25 minutes. We have all these cool old school items that you can only build about two or three if you are lucky.
